New living space on top – a storey addition in lightweight timber.
When space runs short, we create additional living space with a storey addition. In lightweight timber construction an extra floor can usually be built without costly reinforcement of the existing structure.
The low self-weight of timber construction spares the existing structural design, and thanks to extensive prefabrication the build stays short – you can largely remain in the house undisturbed during the works.
From measuring on site through structural review to the finished floor, we plan and build your storey addition from a single source.
Process
How we work
Site survey
We precisely survey the existing building on site – the basis for accurately planning the new storey.
Structural design
The structural engineer checks the existing load-bearing structure and defines the construction of the lightweight timber addition.
Prefabrication
Wall and ceiling elements are prefabricated weather-independently in the workshop.
Assembly
The elements are craned into place and assembled – your house stays largely usable during construction.
Depending on the project, KfW, BAFA, the QNG seal or state and regional funds may apply. Only one thing is essential: the application has to be in place before work begins.
